YOUR PRIVACY MATTERS TO THE ROSE FOR WEST VIRGINIA CAMPAIGN

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes the type of information that is collected by this website, how ChrisRoseWV.com and other third parties may use this information, and the tracking technologies and processes used to collect it. This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you access or use our website, products, and services (the “Service”); or when you otherwise interact with us.

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE

We collect information you provide, such as when you submit forms and search our website. We may collect, but are not limited to collecting, the following: basic user information, such as your name, email address, mailing address and phone number; and other contact information.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE

We collect information about how you use the Service, including your access times, browser types and language, and Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses. We use various technologies to collect information, and this may include sending cookies to your computer. Cookies are small data files that are stored on your hard drive or in device memory by a website. Among other things, cookies support the integrity of our website, retain your preferences and settings, and help evaluate and compile aggregated statistics about user activity. We may also collect information using web beacons. Web beacons are electronic images that may be used on the Service or in emails. We may use web beacons to deliver cookies, count visits, understand usage and campaign effectiveness, and determine whether an email has been opened and acted upon.

USE OF INFORMATION

We may also use information about you to track and analyze trends and usage in connection with the Service; to protect our rights or property; to verify your identity; to investigate and prevent fraud or other illegal activities; and for any other purpose disclosed to you in connection with the Service. ChrisRoseWV.com may use third party service providers to provide certain services to you and we may share Personal Information with such service providers. We require any company with which we may share Personal Information to protect that data in a manner consistent with this policy and to limit the use of such Personal Information to the performance of services for ChrisRoseWV.com. We do not sell, nor will we ever sell or otherwise provide Personal Information to other companies for the marketing of their own products or services. We may use information we collect in connection with, or during the negotiation of, any merger, sale of company stock or assets, financing, acquisition, divestiture, or dissolution of all or a portion of our business. We may also use information we collect if we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce applicable user agreements or policies; to protect the security or integrity of the Service; and to protect us, our customers or the public from harm or illegal activities.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

INFORMATION SECURITY

The security of your privacy and personal information is important to us. We take all reasonable measures, including administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, to help protect personal information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR INFORMATION

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

PRIVACY POLICY CHANGES

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace this Privacy Policy at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least five (5) days notice prior to any new Privacy Policy taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. Notice is given by way of an updated date-stamp and may be given in other ways, but is not required. By continuing to access or use the Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the new Privacy Policy, please stop using the Service.

WHY THIS PRIVACY POLICY MATTERS

While the Rose for West Virginia campaign doesn't need to publish a Privacy Policy to comply with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act or Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), publishing this Privacy Policy ensures our campaign is compliant with partners, like Google. Many businesses make use of Google tools, including our opponent, Alex Mooney, yet your privacy doesn't seem to matter as much to his campaign or his official office, seeing that no privacy policy is published on either site.

Personal privacy should matter to all freedom loving Americans, and Chris Rose believes your personal privacy should be sacred, and not negotiable.
